Dear Friends of the North Carolina Glass Center,

As we look ahead to another inspiring year at the North Carolina Glass Center, we want to pause and offer our deepest gratitude for your unwavering support. Your belief in our mission—to educate, explore, and collaborate—has sustained us through a year of challenge, resilience, and remarkable progress.

In 2025, even as we continued to recover from the impacts of Hurricane Helene, your support fueled meaningful and lasting achievements:

Artist Opportunities:
Over 80 regional glass artists continue to build sustainable careers through NCGC—teaching, renting our subsidized studios, mentoring emerging makers, and exhibiting their work in our galleries.

NC Glass in Black Mountain:
Amid hardships, we opened a second, state-of-the-art location. This new home not only strengthens our mission but will allow us to
triple our educational programs, reaching more students, artists, and community members than ever before.

Public Programs:
Your generosity provided mentorship, materials, and pathways for young budding artists to find their voices. Our glass-art therapy program for veterans also continued to thrive, offering healing, skill building, and creative expression.

BIPOC Artistry:
Our commitment to diversity remains core to who we are. This year we proudly welcomed Kimberly Muth as our 3rd annual BIPOC Artist-in-Residence, expanding equitable opportunity within the national glass community.

As we move forward into 2026—and continue to recover from the economic impacts of the storm—we need your support more than ever. Your gift today will help us:

Expand programming at our new Black Mountain campus, including STEAM education for youth and workshops with renowned national artists

Provide scholarships for those eager to explore glass art but who face financial barriers

Ensure veterans continue to find solace and healing in our therapeutic glass programs

Champion BIPOC artists and elevate diverse voices in the glass-art world

We invite you to be part of this next chapter.
Your contribution empowers creativity, healing, and opportunity across North Carolina and beyond. And for a limited time:
when you give a gift, you get a gift! Join us today in shaping the future of glass art—together.

With gratitude,

Candace Reilly

Executive Director
